About the photographer

Hello there! I'm Hannah & I'm so excited you're here! Let me tell you a little bit about myself before I get to know you.

I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia (GO DAWGS) so I like to consider myself an authentic Georgia peach. When I was a sophomore in high school, I moved from ATL to Effingham, IL. That was a big change, ya'll. (Yeah, I speak Southern all the time, even through the computer). My senior year of high school, I was on the dance team, so ya girl knows how to get down on the dance floor. Just hire me and I'll teach ya so moves. I have four older sisters and currently 13 nieces/nephews combined with my husband's side. Speaking of the hubs, we met while in Physical Therapist Assistant school and were married August of 2016. I can honestly say it was love at first sight. The newly-wed life is amazing and definitely a gift from God. We have a Blue Heeler fur-child, Obi (Obed) and he's named after Obed & Isaac's Microbrewery in Springfield, IL. That is where we currently live and like it so far. We have dreams of relocating back to the cornfields closer to family in a few years.

When I'm not working full time or trying to master my craft of photography, I like to read. Lately, I've been all about Spiritual books; one's that better my soul. I also like to go on walks, be active, watch The Office for the 5th time through, sing, dance, play with the pup, and crochet. I taught myself to crochet in high school; it's okay to call me a mini grandma. :) I also like to watch movies! In high school and college I was one of the assistant managers (assistant to the regional manager (WHERE MY DWIGHT FANS AT?!)) at a local movie theater and I can honestly say that's been one of the best jobs I've ever had.

My faith is a big part of who I am. There is no way I would have been able to handle the ATL-Effingham move, or any trouble in life, without God's help. I believe we are given talents and trades to honor His name & that's what I plan on doing with my photography business.

My photography business' name, Blue Willow Photography, is named after my Grandmother Ann. She loved and collected blue willow plates; the tradition is even passed down through my family. I was blessed to have been given some of her plates from her huge collection after she passed. They are currently sitting nice and pretty on my dinning room wall.

I'd love to hear more about your and your life. I love to become friends with my clients, so let's grab coffee or FaceTime to chat it up :)
