About the photographer
Well hello there, I'm Jeff. I would be honored to tell your love story, no matter who you are or where you're from (or what you do) ... aaaand now I have Backstreet Boys stuck in my head. Oh well.
You're probably wondering why I shoot weddings and how I got here? Great question, I'm so glad you asked!
I started shooting for my high school yearbook and went on to college to study commercial photography. Prior to shooting weddings, I was shooting action sports and some fashion/commercial stuff. You see, I never wanted to shoot weddings. As a young know-it-all who only wore black clothing, I didn't think there was any art in it. I avoided opportunities that came up to do it for a very long time. Eventually, I randomly became friends with an amazing wedding photographer, who is now one of my closest friends, and he really opened my eyes to the level of beauty, art, and skill that can be exhibited in wedding photography. Now, it's what I live and breath! I'm so fortunate that it found me. It was a perfect fit for me all along and I never even knew it! Here are some reasons why:
It takes a people person to do this job. Your wedding photographer is going to be with you during the most stressful and intimate moments of one of the most meaningful days of your life. It's important that you're able to feel comfortable around the person you choose to capture those moments. One of the biggest compliments I receive from clients is when they tell me that they were able to feel comfortable enough around me that it was as if I were one of their friends or family and not just a vendor.
It takes someone that thrives under stress and keeps a level head. Weddings are stressful, we all know that. They often tend to be fluid, with timelines changing at a moment's notice. It requires someone that is very agile and quick on their feet, someone that can roll with the punches and keep a smile on their face!
I bring a very unique perspective and approach. In my past, I spent years shooting in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment while also honing my skills in a studio setting. That combination really set the ground work and foundation that I now find myself leaning on when shooting weddings.
I would LOVE to know more about you, your story, and how I can tell it for you in my unique way!
